Rooted in God’s Word

Grounded in truth. Growing in grace. Living for Christ.

Our Church Family

A simple church, grounded in Scripture and committed to walking together in faith

North Cherokee Church of Christ is a local congregation committed to studying God’s Word, encouraging one another, and living out our faith together. We strive to keep our focus on Scripture, simple worship, and genuine Christian fellowship.

We are a church family made up of people from different backgrounds and seasons of life, united by a desire to follow Christ and grow in faith together.

What to Expect When You Visit

When you gather with us, you’ll find a simple, reverent time of worship centered on God’s Word.

Our worship includes:

  • Singing that encourages participation and reflection
  • Prayer offered together as a congregation
  • Weekly communion, as we remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
  • Bible-based teaching focused on understanding and applying Scripture

We strive to follow the pattern of the New Testament church, placing emphasis on Scripture rather than tradition. Our goal is not to entertain, but to worship God in spirit and in truth, encourage one another, and grow together in faith.

You’ll find a warm, welcoming group of people from many backgrounds. There’s no dress code—come as you are. If you have questions, we’re always happy to talk and study the Bible together.

Our History

2009–2011
Early Gatherings

North Cherokee Church of Christ began meeting in the fall of 2009, gathering for worship and study in the homes of members. From the very beginning, our goal has been simple: to be a faithful church rooted in God’s Word and committed to one another.

2011–2013
Growing Together

As the congregation grew, we began meeting for services in a conference room at the Holiday Inn Express in Canton, Georgia, in December 2009. In August 2011, we moved our gatherings to the Cherokee Association of Realtors office in Holly Springs.

2013–Present
Waleska & Looking Ahead

On March 3, 2013, we began meeting at our current location at 7198 Reinhardt College Parkway, Waleska, Georgia.

In January 2019, the congregation purchased five acres on Fincher Road (Highway 108), just a few miles from the Waleska four-way stop. We look forward to the opportunity, in God’s time, to build a future home for worship and Bible study on that property.
