In Episode 3 of Now You Know, we explore the powerful and deeply human story of Elijah. From being fed by ravens… to the miracle of the widow’s oil and flour… to raising her son from the dead… to the dramatic showdown on Mount Carmel — Elijah’s life is filled with unmistakable displays of God’s power. But his story doesn’t end in fire from heaven. After defeating 450 prophets of Baal, Elijah runs in fear. He hides. He grows exhausted. He wants to give up. And that’s when God speaks — not through wind, not through earthquake, not through fire — but through a gentle whisper. Elijah’s life reminds us that even the strongest believers experience valleys. Even those who witness miracles can struggle. Yet God continues to use ordinary people for extraordinary purposes. The question is: Will we listen? Will we trust? Will we follow? In Episode 2 of Now You Know, we turn to one of the most well-known figures in Scripture — Moses — and discover there is far more to his story than we often remember. From the fear-driven decree of Pharaoh, to a baby hidden among the reeds, to life in the palace… from murder and exile, to a burning bush in the wilderness — Moses’ life is a powerful reminder that God uses flawed, hesitant, imperfect people to accomplish extraordinary purposes. We explore Moses’ doubts, his arguments with God, his failures, and his growth. Why would God choose someone stubborn, impulsive, and reluctant? What does that teach us about how God works today? This message challenges us to ask: How does God get our attention? Are we willing to step toward the burning bush? Are we ready to be molded, corrected, and used? Moses’ story isn’t just history. It’s an invitation. Now you know.

In this message, we begin a new series called “Now You Know,” exploring the deeper purpose behind difficult and often overlooked Bible stories. Using the powerful account of Jephthah from Judges 11–12, this sermon challenges us to move beyond routine religion and embrace a faith worth living for. Through Jephthah’s victory, his tragic vow, and the painful consequences that followed, we wrestle with hard questions about obedience, rash decisions, suffering, and God’s sovereignty. Why is this story in the Bible? What does it teach us about commitment, faith under pressure, and trusting God’s plan—even when it’s heartbreaking? This lesson invites us to grow stronger in our walk with God and to see that our story, like Jephthah’s, is part of something far greater than we can imagine.

The Providence of God In this message, we reflect on what it really means to believe God is actively involved in the details of our lives—not distant, not passive, but present and purposeful. Through personal stories from a recent trip overseas, we explore how God’s providence shows up in “God moments” we couldn’t plan: the right people at the right time, protection we didn’t even notice, and answers to prayer that remind us He is in control no matter where we are in the world.
